Dolomiti 1998 - 2007
The Dolomites (Italian: Dolomiti) are
a section of the Alps. They are located in north-eastern Italy. The name
"Dolomites" is derived from the famous French mineralogist Déodat Gratet
de Dolomieu who was the first to describe the rock, dolomite, a type of
carbonate rock which is responsible for the characteristic shapes and
color of these mountains. Via ferratas are very popular there. A via
ferrata is a mountain route which is equipped with fixed cables, staples,
ladders and bridges. I like Dolomiti very much, my relation to them is
very strong. Please look at some photos (a lot of them were taken with an
analogue camera) from our trips.
